Several weddings take months for preparations and some can take years depending on how detailed arrangements there will be at the event. Although not every wedding takes place in the old fashioned and traditional ways but still there are many couples who wish to spend as much as they can just to make this one day the most memorable one. Usually a normal wedding checklist would include choosing from dress designs, deciding on a wedding date, the venue or church for the wedding, reception venue, favors to give away at the event, accessories that would be needed, colors to apply, and this list might just keep on going depending on what sort of arrangement the couple wants.

In order to keep things a little easier; many couples get wedding planners to do the job for them. Well, besides getting assistance by a wedding planner, it is always important to make sure that nothing is missed out and every is taken care of; for this reason you need to prepare your own wedding checklist. Now, let me tell you how to design one.

The planning and preparation part of any wedding is the most exciting one and making a checklist at this stage is a lot of fun. This is when you will be crowded by appointments from florists, food caterers, wedding planners, couturier, designers, etc. When you are this busy it is natural that a couple of things might slip out of the mind and you remember them at the last moment ruining your wedding night. You need to sit down with your partner and family and brain storm all the ideas for your wedding day making a rough checklist and then shortlist the things leaving only the ones that you require. Here is an example of a wedding checklist; however, things are not in any particular order.

Wedding certificate, floral bouquet preservation, bachelor party, marriage license, music tapes, thank you notes, wedding rings, map or direction cards, jewelry, unity candle, invitations, cake top, engagement announcements, stationary, flower girl basket, gown preservation, ring bearer pillow, food recipes or menu, edible wedding favors, tuxedo shoes, cake knife and server, tuxedo rental, toasting glasses, parent’s dresses, bridesmaid’s shoes and dresses, wedding programs, guest book, lingerie, bridal gloves, table numbers and reserved signs, rehearsal dinner, bridal garter, and the list might just keep on going so just brainstorm and shortlist all your ideas.
